An obstetrician take care of whole pregnancy and also provides therapies to help you get pregnant, such as fertility treatments, gynecology observes all kind of women’s health issues related to female reproductive systems. Almost all modern gynecologists are also obstetricians. In many areas the specialties of gynecology and obstetrics overlap. For example cancer and pre-cancerous disease of the reproductive organs (including ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, vagina and vulva),incontinence of urine, amenorrhea(absent menstrual  periods), Dysmenorrhea(painful menstrual periods) Infertility, Menorrhagia (heavy menstrual periods) a common indication of hysterectomy , prolapse of pelvis organs, Infection of vagina(vaginitis),cervix and uterus( including fungal, bacterial, viral and protozoa ),UTI and pelvic inflammatory disease, premenstrual syndrome, other vaginal diseases.
