Brief Profile:

The Volume Modulated Therapy Accelerator (VMAT) introduced the first integrated brachytherapy unit in North India and pioneered stereotactic body radiotherapy. During his 35 years of experience, he is credited with establishing the Department of Radiation Oncology at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, New Delhi, Artemis Health Institute, Gurugram, and also establishing the Division of Radiation Oncology at Medanta-Gurugram. Dr. Kataria studied in top institutes in India and abroad like PGI
Chandigarh, University of Cambridge and Harvard University, among others. Dr. Kataria presented the latest developments in radiotherapy at Medanta such as Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Image Guided Radiotherapy (IGRAT), Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMAT), Image Guided Brachytherapy and Total Body Irradiation (TBI), total electronic skin therapy (TSET). ). Dr. Kataria has been associated with the QUATRO Asia team at the International Atomic Energy Agency, Vienna, since 2005.
and was part of the task force committee for the National Cancer Control Program of the 11th Annual Plan of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi.
