Dr. Satya Yadav treats children with blood disorders and cancer at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, India. His clinical area is mainly pediatric leukemia and bone marrow transplantation (BMT). Their goal is to make BMT and stem cell therapy affordable and accessible to everyone who needs it. After completing his pediatric training in Delhi, he traveled to Sydney, Australia and worked as a fellow (2002-2005) in pediatric hemato-oncology at Westmead Children's Hospital. He has over 20 years of experience and has established successful pediatric BMT programs at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Fortis Gurgaon and Medanta Hospital. He and his colleagues have helped perform more than 1,000 blood and bone marrow transplants and cell therapies. He has performed related and unrelated donor transplants, cord blood transplants, and haploidentical bone marrow transplants for thalassemia, sickle cell anemia, leukemia, aplastic anemia, primary immunodeficiency, and metabolic disorders. Another key area of interest is cellular therapy, including CAR-T cell therapy, virus-specific T cell therapy, and donor lymphocyte infusions. He has published in various national and international journals with more than 1000 citations. He has served as a National Review Board (NRB) professor in Pediatric Hematologic Oncology for over 10 years. He has trained more than 30 pediatric hematological oncology fellows who work as consultants in India and abroad.
