Dr. Randeep Guleria is Chairman of the Institute of Internal Medicine and Respiratory and Sleep Medicine and Principal of Medanta Medical College. Before that he headed AIIMS New Delhi as Director for about 5 years. He is a former professor and head of the Department of Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Disorders at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), New Delhi. He received the prestigious Padma Shri award in 2015 in the field of medicine. He received the prestigious Dr. B... He was awarded the C. Roy National Award for Distinguished Physician in 2014 and the Lung India Award for the best original article in Lung India by the Indian Thoracic Society in 2014. He was awarded Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) Honoris Causa by IIT, Kharagpur and Amity University. He has received many other prestigious awards like Swastha Bharat Samman for Medicine from LIC and Zee TV and Himachal Gaurav Puraskar and also the 22nd Lal Bahadur Shastri National Excellence Award in 2021.
