Brief Profile:

A highly spiritual human being with great wit and humour, Dr Ramakrishnan is one of the top rheumatologists in India. His love and passion to help people was something he realized at a very early point in his life. Being a senior doctor at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai, his area of expertise includes treating a condition called anti-Phospholipid Antibody(APLA) related to pregnancy loss and rheumatic diseases associated with Pregnancy and IGG/4 diseases.

Dr Ramakrishnan believes that the values of The Capstone Clinic are in tune with his own and feels that that the clinic practises its brand ethos of being a family clinic in its truest sense with a close-knitted community of multi-speciality doctors who have highly ethical practices.

Dr Ramakrishnan says that the concept of rheumatology is “an orphaned one”, and not many people are aware of it, which is why they go for alternative forms of medicine to treat themselves and are therefore not 100% cured. He believes that there is a growing need for more rheumatologists.Dr Ramakrishnan is an Associate Director in the Journal of Indian Rheumatology Association along with 38+ article publications in various national and international journals. He believes in sharing the knowledge he has gained in the last 35 years with the world.

In addition to practising medicine, his special interest areas include Spirituality and ancient wisdom, and he is an avid reader of those genres.
