Dr. Paritosh S Gupta

Brief Profile:

Dr. Paritosh S. Gupta serves as the Head of the Department of General, Minimal Access, and Bariatric Surgery at Artemis Hospitals, located in Sector 51, Gurgaon, India. He commenced his tenure at this institution in December 2012 as a Senior Consultant and subsequently advanced to the position of Head of Department. Before his association with Artemis Hospitals, he held the role of Head of the Department of General Surgery and Minimal Access Surgery at both the Indian Spinal Injury Centre and Nova Specialty Surgery. Additionally, he served as Head of Department at Columbia Asia Hospital GBD from 2010 to 2011. His prior experience includes a position as Senior Consultant in the Department of General Surgery and Minimal Access Surgery at Max Super Specialty Hospital, Saket, from 2007 to 2010, and as Senior Consultant at Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj, from 2005 to 2007. With 17 years of practice in Delhi and the National Capital Region, he has successfully performed over 14,000 surgeries, establishing himself as a highly regarded and experienced professional in his field. His extensive expertise encompasses a wide range of abdominal and gastrointestinal surgeries, with a detailed list of his surgical proficiencies available upon request.

Dr. Gupta graduated from Sh. M P Shah Medical College in Jamnagar, Gujarat, where he also completed his postgraduate degree in MS (General Surgery). He is a board-certified surgeon recognized by the National Board (DNB, General Surgery). His professional accolades include a prestigious membership in the National Academy of Medical Sciences, an organization founded and chaired by Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Saheb. Furthermore, he is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta, having completed a year-long “Leadership & Management Executive Programme,” which he was awarded in 2016. He has received the FMAS (Fellow of Minimal Access Surgery) designation from the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI) and the FAIS (Fellow of the Association of Surgeons of India) in recognition of his contributions to the field of General Surgery. 

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Gupta serves as a Trainer and Faculty member at the esteemed Ethicon Institute of Surgical Education (EISE) in New Delhi, where he has trained numerous surgeons in Solid Organ Laparoscopic Surgery. He is also a teaching faculty member at Artemis Hospitals, actively engaging in educational initiatives.
