Dr. Bornali Datta is a distinguished Respiratory Physician with approximately 15 years of cumulative experience in both India and the UK since her graduation from medical school. Throughout this time, she has developed expertise in all facets of General and Respiratory Medicine.

During her Specialist Registrar training in the UK, as well as in her role as a Consultant, she has acquired extensive experience in managing a wide range of respiratory conditions. Her clinical focus has included interstitial lung disease, sarcoidosis, lung cancer, airway diseases, sleep disorders, tuberculosis, bronchiectasis, and complex asthma, including the application of new biologic therapies, in addition to all types of pleural diseases. Dr. Datta is proficient in the care of critically ill patients experiencing acute respiratory failure within intensive care and high dependency environments, utilizing non-invasive ventilation techniques such as BiPAP and CPAP. Furthermore, she possesses significant skills in interventional respiratory medicine, having conducted 400 procedures that include bronchoscopy, transbronchial biopsy, and transbronchial fine needle aspiration, as well as chest drain insertion (both Seldinger and Argyll techniques), thoracic ultrasound, and medical thoracoscopy.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Datta has participated in various research projects and has presented her findings at international conferences, including those organized by the British Thoracic Society, European Respiratory Society, and American Thoracic Society. She has also contributed to education by teaching and lecturing to diverse audiences across multiple platforms.
